Welcoming Aidan Donovan, Furniture Designer-Maker

Delighted to be welcoming Aidan Donovan into the Teer & Co fold of Artist-Designer-Makers.

Aidan has joined up with us for bespoke commission projects at a time when his practice is expanding and he has just moved into and taken on a new larger premises of his own - we wish him every success in this new exciting phase of his journey!

We’re also pleased to announce that Aidan has kindly agreed to work on an ‘exclusive to Teer & Co’ piece that we look forward to showcasing and offering for sale through our Collection in the coming months.

Aidan is a narrative-focused furniture designer and maker using sustainably-sourced, British timber to make beautiful pieces for the modern home. Following is a small selection of his work which can be customised when required. 

Aidan’s practice is focused on weaving in the personal details of client briefs, with unexpected and exciting visual influences to create furniture that celebrates handwork, traditional solid timber construction, and functional, contemporary design. He specialises in bespoke commissions and small-scale production pieces, each designed to tell a unique story.

Aidan takes a Modernist approach to design although he is deeply influenced by the freedom and irregular beauty of so-called vernacular forms and folk-art. Through the use of storytelling, a robust design philosophy and an appreciation of the everyday, Aidan strives to create beautiful, functional, and heirloom-quality pieces that are designed to last and to be loved.
