Read MoreA unique one-off piece that is made and ready to ship, the Stickle Bench is a departure from traditional techniques usually employed for chair and bench making. Instead of rails and stretchers to prevent the legs from splaying outwards, this bench supports itself via a steel spine running through the seat from leg to leg. This allows the ribs of the bench to float.
The bench flexes imperceptibly under load in a way that allows the structure to find a new equilibrium, and subtly evokes the bend and flex of the spine that Will was so inspired by.
